Following on from a red hot summer, the harvest had clearly been good, and there were plenty of freshly picked apples, pears, blackberries, damsons, plums and sloes to stew down and bake into a delicious autumnal dessert.

As always, the proof is in the pudding and here’s the photo of the first few crumbles made which all looked delicious!
