An exceptional school, which is defined equally by its high academic achievements and its warmth and inclusivity, our students and their teachers work hard, seek to achieve the very highest standards in all they do and are respectful of each other and of their community.

We welcome applications from experienced and ambitious teachers who are keen for their career to progress within our high performing science faculty at Ulverston Victoria High School.
This is a great opportunity for an exceptional and vibrant practitioner to join and contribute to a high-performing department. GCSE science results for progress have consistently been in the top 20% of the country across both combined science and separate science. A-level numbers are healthy, and the science subjects are a very popular choice in the sixth form. During the 2018 Ofsted inspection, the inspectors took time to note in their report that ’students make exceptional progress in science’.
The successful candidate will share our passion for teaching and learning and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills. They will be clearly in tune with our values and our ethos of “children first” and be totally committed to providing a deep and rewarding experience in science for all our students regardless of their academic ability.
