Congratulations to all of Our A Level Students!

UVHS would like to congratulate all of our students collecting their A Level results today, and as a school we are once again incredibly proud of their superb achievements.
The vast majority of Year 13 students have been accepted into their first-choice universities with several other offers pending. A considerable number of students have also qualified to take up highly sought after higher apprenticeships and degree apprenticeships with the likes of BAE in particular.
Head of Sixth Form Rob Rastelli said: “We are incredibly proud of our students and their outstanding A-Level results this year. These achievements reflect not only their hard work and resilience, but also the dedication of our staff and the supportive environment we strive to create. It has been, as ever, a genuine privilege to see these students flourish on their A-level journey and how brilliant to see so many of our students progressing to top universities, apprenticeships, and outstanding career paths.”
Benjamin, who is going on to study Physics at Lancaster University, said: “I’m absolutely chuffed to bits. I was nervous this morning and came in to get my results before checking UCAS to find out whether I had made it in to my first choice university. It’s such a relief!”
In a potential case of nominative determinism, Darwin will study Evolutionary Biology at St Andrews after achieving three A*s and one A grade. “It’s a subject I’ve always been interested in studying,” he said. “I’m really pleased with my results and looking forward to studying north of the border!”
Also going on to study in Scotland is Isabel, who will study English Literature and Classics at Edinburgh University after achieving three A*s. “I’m so pleased and it’s such a relief to get the grades,” she said. “I’m really excited about studying in Edinburgh and can’t wait to get started!”
Katherine spoke of her delight in achieving three A*s: she will go on to study Biochemistry at Oxford. “I’m really pleased; it was a nerve-wracking time in the lead up to results day so it’s a relief to get the grades I needed.”
Aishvarya, who achieved three A*s and will study Chemical Engineering in Manchester, said she was “shaking” as she opened her results. “They were better than I could ever have expected,” she said. “I’m absolutely over the moon”.

Headteacher Matthew Hardwick said: “These results are once again a reflection not only of the incredibly hard work and commitment demonstrated by each and every student, but also the dedication and quality of our teaching and support staff alongside the superb levels of encouragement and focus fostered by parents and families.”
