Year 12 Physics students went to visit Heysham Power Station. We learnt all about nuclear power generation and apprenticeship opportunities and had fun looking at the interactive displays in the Visitors’ Centre.

The highlight was donning protective gear and having a tour of the site – we saw the control room and the huge noisy generators and turbines as well as a rare bee orchid!
