They have been learning how to introduce themselves and how to describe different animals and colours. We have also been learning about the Spanish culture, including the Flamenco dance, bull fighting, paella and traditional Spanish guitar music.

Given its rising popularity, all Year 7 pupils at UVHS now learn Spanish for three lessons a week. Some Year 10 students are also looking forward to visiting Barcelona in July, where they will have the chance to practise their Spanish for real!
