Pastoral Leaders and Heads of Year
Ulverston Victoria High School is proud of the strong culture of Pastoral Support within the school.
The Pastoral Support team is managed by Heads of Year. Support for students and links with families and external agencies is strong. Pastoral leaders are active members of the Victoria Action Team.
At UVHS we recognise that the role of the Form Tutor is pivotal to the success of all our students. An effective Form Tutor supports the learning and emotional well–being of his or her tutees, has an overview and tracks students’ Attitude to Learning and Attainment Levels and in doing so maximises the learning potential of the students in their care. A good Form Tutor serves as an excellent role model in all his or her interactions with students.
