PSHE

PSHE (Personal, Social, Health & Economic) Education is one of the cornerstones of the Personal Development sessions currently delivered predominantly during PM registration for KS3.

We have devised a stimulating curriculum in collaboration with the following agencies and bodies to ensure we robustly support students as they become young adults:

  • Brook Learn
  • The PSHE Association
  • You Can’t Know Everything
  • The NHS – Better Health – Every Mind Matters
  • The Dove Self Esteem Project
  • The Alcohol Education Trust
  • CoppaFeel!
  • Safer Internet Day
  • Childline
  • CEOPS

All PSHE (And RSE topics) at Ulverston Victoria High School come under three strands which are colour coded across all student materials:

These three areas also link to our whole school assembly rota which is themed against these three areas. For example, when looking at Firework Safety in the Autumn Term, this collaborates with content delivered in Health and Wellbeing, and Living in the wider world.

Please find below a link to each of the Learning Journeys for Year 7 – 11.
Note – we are currently on a rolling program of introducing Personal Development to the timetable, and Year 10 and Year 11 will be later in the academic year.
